Dairy - Mimi

This morning Mimi wasn’t really her self with us, she didn’t eat her toast and she cried throughout but she drunk most of her milk.

Mimi didn’t take part in free play and we noticed that she had a bit of a runny nose so she was probably feeling under the weather. I tried to encourage her to play with the other children but she just stood by my feet so I stroked her head to to comfort her whilst speaking to her.  I didn’t want to pick her up and hold her in my arms as I know she would be comfortable like this and would probably want to stay like this for the rest of the day; as at times when Gavin or I have done this before, Mimi has not wanted to move off of the sofa to play with the others or she has fallen asleep in our arms.

This afternoon Mimi was a bit happier, she took part in an all about me pick and stick activity sheet where she chose her own eyes, nose and mouth for her face. Mimi chose a shocked pair of eyes, a cute long nose and a mouth that was wide open.
