Dairy - Aleiya

This morning Aleiya was a little bit shy, but she warmed up after breakfast when another child chose The Three Little Pigs book for me to read to all of them. I could see her facial expressions whilst I was reading which let me know that she was following the story well.

For Arts & Crafts we started off with a discussion on what the childrens favourite meals were as some parents haven’t sent in their pictures or recipes yet so we couldn’t complete our class cook book. Aleiya actually spoke for a little while with a cute little smile on her face. I couldn’t make out what she said her favourite meal was but I was happy that she tried to take part in the discussion. I told her what mummy had sent in as her favourite recipes.

For Food Tec the children made one of my favourite simple snacks which was fried dumpling. Aleiya washed her hands well, enjoyed rolling and making a shape with her dumpling, but she didn’t eat much of her fried dumpling when it was cooked.
During Free play Aleiya sat down next to uncle Gavin in the reading area and read Dream Big Little Leader, she also cooked a meal in the tuff play area with child K who she formed a nice little bond with today.
